About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, we seek a Maintenance Electrician to ensure that all preventative and breakdown maintenance is effectively planned and implemented and that all electrical processing and service equipment is performing at its best.
Responsibilities: As an integral member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for equipment maintenance, repair and improvement to ensure optimal plant performance, managing planned repairs and unplanned breakdowns effectively while maintaining best practice food and safety standards
- Work collaboratively with other site Electricians, Fitters and Production teams to achieve high levels of plant optimisation.
- Working safely and ensuring the safety of those around you.
- The delivery of reliable, efficient and safe routine preventative maintenance activities.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with plant and machinery that may be mechanical or electrical in nature.
- Responding to breakdowns through prioritising and carrying out repairs in a safe manner.
- Working with the Maintenance Manager to conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensuring follow-up on identified actions.
- Maintaining all registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities.
- Liaise with Production Supervisors and machine operators about the performance of equipment.
- Develop & maintain close and collaborative working relationships across the Maintenance, Production, Planning and Engineering teams.
Key Requirements
- Trade qualified A Grade electrician with proven experience preferably in an FMCG or similar industry.
- A safety mindset with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Experience with pumps, motors, conveyors, packaging equipment and PLC fault finding.
- Experience with pneumatic systems.
- Working knowledge of CMMS (MEX preferred).
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues and identify problems at root cause.
- The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
