An opportunity currently exists for a Maintenance Electrician based at our Kingsgrove site on a permanent full-time basis to cover our Day/Afternoon Shift. The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of all plant and machinery and assisting with scheduled preventative maintenance according to Australian Standards, relevant regulations, and manuals for the Kingsgrove operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensures all machinery is operational as per Australian standards.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment, computers, and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Regularly communicate with key stakeholders and be pro-active to source and address all maintenance issues.
- Manage multiple and competing priorities in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment.
- Ensure that all plant and equipment is regularly and thoroughly examined, and all potential issues are resolved and the maintenance manager adequately informed.
- Promote and adhere to Quality, GMP, HACCP, and food safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Review quality and GMP performance including resolution of necessary corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery are maintained in a safe working condition and are accurately set, ready for use in production.
The successful candidate will have:
- Trade qualifications in Electrical – essential
- Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology – Electrical – preferred
- PLC/ Electronics knowledge/ exposure – essential
- At least 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience, ideally within a FMCG environment and preferably Food & Beverage Industry.
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office Package
- Team player who isn’t afraid to get your hands dirty.
- Willing to work, day and afternoon shifts.
- $45-50 per hour plus allowances, penalties and overtime
