Description
As a Maintenance Fitter with us, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be a crucial member of the maintenance team responsible for all aspects of maintenance functions for the operational process of the production facility.
Your responsibilities will include:
✅ Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and up-time.
✅ Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
✅ Conducting repairs and adjustments to machinery and equipment as needed.
✅ Participating in preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
✅ Collaborating with other team members to implement process improvements and optimise performance.
Profile
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
🔩 Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter or similar role.
🔩 Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
🔩 Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics.
🔩 Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
🔩 Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
🔩 Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter Turner.
🔩 Welding ability - MIG, Arc, oxy and TIG welding with stainless (Tube & Pipe welding advantageous but not essential).
🔩 Understanding of PLC & Automation.
🔩 'B' Class electrician preferred, but not essential.
🔩 Experience of 2+ years (within a FMCG manufacturing industry would be an advantage but is not essential).
