- Permanent / Full-Time position (40 hours per week)
- Remuneration dependent on qualifications and experience + 10.5 % Employer superannuation

- Day Shift (6am to 2pm) some overtime might be required.

About the role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, the focus of this role is to support production by maintaining machinery.
Maintenance:
- Diagnose, repair and maintain Hydraulic / Pneumatic systems & components.
- Read drawings or interpret component layout to troubleshoot hydraulic issues.
- Refurbish hydraulic components, such as cylinders, if possible.
- Perform other mechanical maintenance tasks, as required.
- Carry out inspections, as required by PMs and other plans.
- Comply with spare parts management strategy.
- Recommend hydraulic / pneumatic spare parts and manage their storage.
- Support with documentation of maintenance activities and spare parts.
- Contribute to 5S activities, by ensuring that work area & stores are kept tidy.
- Operate and provide services within organization's vision and guidelines.
- Adherence to site QESH policies and procedures.
- Support installation of new equipment and decommissioning of old, as needed.
- Support equipment overhaul and refurbishment projects.
- Participate in and support site's capital investment initiatives.
- Perform activities which may be delegated from time to time.
About you:
- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade.
- Certificate IV in Engineering (Fluid Power) / Hydraulics, highly desirable.
- Maintenance experience, preferably in rubber / heavy manufacturing industry desired, but not mandatory.
- Experience in hydraulics / pneumatics troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ability to work with variety of hand and power tools efficiently and safely.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Availability to work overtime, when required.
- Availability to attend call outs, as required.
- Strong knowledge on safety and safe working practices.
- Current Forklift Licence, desirable but not mandatory.
