Maintenance Fitter Team Leader

We are looking for a Maintenance Team Leader with a mechanical trade background to lead the team at Baiada.  Baiada is a leading producer of cooked poultry dedicated to providing high-quality products to their customers while prioritising safety and excellence in every aspect of their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of employees to ensure efficient production processes
• Identify plant failures or shortages and communicate deficiencies to supervisory staff
• Set a positive example while you establish and manage effective working relationships within the team
• Contribute to the development of a team-based learning environment
• Receive instructions and allocate work to the team
• Maintain high safety standards within the team
• Ensure adherence to high standards of food safety and welfare
• Acquire and analyse workplace information for continuous improvement
• Communicate regularly with team and department managers
• Serve as a trained fire warden and uphold fire safety protocols
• Conduct informal counselling of team members regarding performance deficiencies

 
Essential Qualifications:

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency (legally entitled to work in Australia)
• Qualified mechanical tradesperson
