About the Role
SEE Group have an opportunity available for an experienced Maintenance Manger to join our team on a significant civil/mining project based in Orange, NSW. This is a full-time position available for a local candidate or DIDO/FIFO on a 5/2 roster.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the maintenance team meet project obligations safely and efficiently, maximising returns by meeting or exceeding budget and performance targets.
They will manage WHS standards, provide leadership to achieve project goals, oversee all site maintenance activities, and ensure high plant availability at minimal cost. The role involves offering technical advice and administrative support for mechanical repairs, services, and preventative maintenance according to best practices and OEM guidelines.
Additionally, the Maintenance Manager will support and mentor the maintenance team, foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, and establish a professional and positive work environment that promotes effective communication and conflict resolution.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Background in Heavy Plant, Mechanical and Business processes
- Strong understanding of machinery and mechanical concepts and can lead the maintenance team thinking logically and methodically under pressure.
Proven management skills, practices and planning ability - Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities
- Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications
- Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
- Ideally a Trade Certificate – Heavy Plant
- Current Drivers Licence
