Maintenance Manager
Windridge Farms is a family-owned 4,000-sow Farm operating across three farming sites. All are located in the Young area, each with a piggery. We have a job opportunity for a Maintenance Manager at Windridge Farms to manage a small team of seven staff and oversee the piggeries' maintenance.
Role: Reporting to the General Manager.
- Maintaining the Maintenance Data Base, rostering staff and managing staff schedules, along with keeping good records of purchases
- Prioritising the Maintenance Job Cards to ensure that pig production is not compromised.
- Efficient scheduling of people and resources to meet the competing demands for resources.
- Liaising with contractors to ensure timely completion of nominated projects
- Implementation of preventative maintenance programs to avoid unexpected breakdowns
- Control of SEP systems and solid waste
- Monitor and Maintenance of the Bio Gas Generators
- Efficient and effective supply of parts and materials for contractors and company sites
- Maintaining the facility and surroundings to the highest standard of appearance and tidiness.
Key Requirements:
- A trade qualification or extensive experience in a similar role
- Excellent safety awareness and leadership
- Good verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work across various stakeholders.
- Experience working in a Piggery and an understanding of the effluent systems and working environment is not essential but will be looked upon favourably.
Salary Package includes: $90,000 to $95,000 per Annum plus a generous bonus and a fully serviced Ute.
