SalaryAre you a tradie with management experience who would like to make a positive difference in the lives of older people? Village Baxter is looking for a full time Maintenance Manager for our Frankston South Retirement Village and Aged Care Home.
We are looking for someone who is able to manage and coordinate reactive and preventative maintenance programs for our building, grounds and gardens,. The Maintenance Manager is part of our Senior Management Team and will lead our experienced team of Maintenance and Gardening supervisors and staff and also liaise with our long-term sub-contractors and Building Manager. The Maintenance Manager coordinates and participates in the afterhours on call roster. This is a senior management, full-time position with a monthly RDO.
Key requirements:
- A broad range of maintenance skills and have experience in maintenance programs for buildings and grounds.
- Experience using computers along and electronic maintenance management programs
- Knowledge of WH&S regulations and have a commitment to a workplace safety
- Empathy and compassion for the needs of older people
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
You must be philosophically aligned with the Village Baxter mission, vision and values, and be able to manage in a constantly changing environment. We are paid weekly; the Maintenance Manager position is paid $49.19 per hour plus milage and allowances. As a Charity we are able offer tax free salary packaging for our staff to improve their wages (staff can package up to $15,900 per year).
