Maintenance Manager

PGL Kindilan is an established adventure camp located in Redland Bay Queensland.  We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance department and operations and provide clear direction and motivation to the team, to set and achieve objectives and KPIs in conjunction with support and direction from and to the Centre Manager. 

You will be accountable for overseeing the preventative, planned and reactive maintenance of the centre in a customer focused environment, ensuring all compliance and safety issues are planned, completed and recorded and ensure high standards of maintenance, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout the centre.

We would like you to:

• Work with your team to ensure a high standards of general upkeep and routine maintenance of the centre facilities including grounds, buildings and vehicle fleet
• Manage and react confidently where emergency situations arise
• Work closely with the Centre Manager to create clear plans for setting short, medium and long term centre objectives
• Be part of the centre leadership team to contribute to the overall performance of a residential activity centre
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, mandatory and internal requirements, undertaking checks, testing and record keeping
• Ensure effective cost control measures are in place and that costs are within an agreed budget
• Ensure company safe systems of work are employed and procedures relating to health and safety are followed at all times

We would like you to have:

• Previous experience in managing a team is required.
• Experience performing routine repair, maintenance work and familiarisation working with tools to repair and maintain buildings is essential.
• A trade background with relevant qualifications is highly desirable
• Strong leadership, communication and management skills and the ability to work with a team.
• Proficient in the MS Office Suite including the ability to produce spreadsheets and complete advanced formatting tasks (highly desirable)
• Current Driver's Licence

You will need to have:

Due to the nature of the role, all employees are required to provide a satisfactory paid Blue Card prior to commencing and maintain throughout employment.

To be successful in this full-time 38 hour per week role, you will have flexible availability across weekdays and weekends to ensure the needs of the business are met.
