AddressQueensland Pre-Stressing Pty Ltd (QPS) is an industry leader in Specialist Ground Engineering services. QPS works throughout Australia on a variety of construction projects requiring retention techniques including rock anchoring, drilling, grouting, piling and specialised steel fabrication.
QPS are currently seeking a Workshop Maintenance Manager (full time) with previous experience in diesel fitting heavy earthmoving machinery and drilling equipment. The successful candidate will be willing to learn and develop skills in electrics, hydraulics, and fabrication.
The primary duties of the role will include:
- Repair and maintenance of mobile plant and equipment including Drill Rigs, 4WDs, Trucks, Compressors, Forklifts and Generators
- Maintaining inventory levels to align with maintenance needs, ensuring all plant and equipment operate safely and effectively
- Ensuring all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the quality, safety, and environment management systems
- Assuming responsibility for maintenance operations, coordinating the work schedule of the maintenance team in accordance with company requirements.
The candidate we are looking for will have:
- Leadership skills to manage a team of diesel fitters and mechanics
- Trade Certificate Mechanical Fitter (Diesel) Or Diesel Mechanical Fitter
- Experience on heavy plant and equipment as well as smaller vehicles, engines, transmissions and hydraulics
- Demonstrated ability to acquire knowledge in the safe use of plant and equipment and awareness of safety in the workplace
- Current drivers license
- Sound computer skills and timely paperwork management
- The ability to educate employees to embrace a safe and productive work environment
- Extensive commitment and understanding of all matters relating to health, safety and environment
Employment will be based at our North Brisbane workshop and may require travel to construction sites from time to time. An attractive renumeration package will be discussed with the successful applicant. It is a condition of employment that you agree to random drug and alcohol testing at the companies discretion.
