THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Maintenance Manager and reporting to the General Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring equipment reliability and optimising productivity. You will lead a skilled maintenance team, fostering a positive team culture and collaborating with various departments.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Equipment Performance:
- Continually monitor equipment performance.
- Control the Preventative Maintenance Program for all maintenance works.
- Prioritise, plan, and implement maintenance requirements while closely monitoring budget targets.
Contractor Management:
- Manage contractors working for maintenance.
- Form strong working relationships with all areas of the business to ensure timely priorities.
- Promote a good team culture.
Production Efficiency:
- Minimise downtime for all production equipment.
- Ensure the maintenance team follows directions correctly and safely.
- Ensure the maintenance team performs duties in a standardised manner
- Recommend improvements for the development and implementation of processes and systems.
Resource Management:
- Assign maintenance resources to approved projects.
- Purchase equipment and/or items for the maintenance department.
- Ensure compliance with key performance indicators.
People Management:
- Completion of probation and annual performance reviews.
- Facilitate onboarding, training, and development of existing and new recruits into the maintenance team.
- Assist HR with performance management of staff.

As a seasoned maintenance and management professional, your innate leadership abilities and exceptional interpersonal skills make you the perfect fit for this exciting opportunity.
You will need to demonstrate:
- A track record of successful leadership and previous experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to empathetically engage, lead, motivate, and positively influence large teams with a focus on fostering a collaborative and thriving work environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Computer literacy, with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skillset.
- Outstanding relationship management with the ability to build strong working relationships with all areas of the business.
- A commitment to safety, with a focus on creating a secure working environment.
- Previous experience with prioritising, planning, and implementing maintenance requirements whilst closely monitoring budget targets.
- Proficiency with the development and implementation of processes and systems.
- Eagerness to engage in professional development and training.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a dynamic work environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and additional hours as required.
