Maintenance Officer

As a leader in the Build-to-Rent sector, our client focuses on developing and managing high-quality residential apartments that prioritise comfort, convenience, and community. 
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining all common areas at the property including all amenity areas daily.
• Conduct minor repairs and handyman tasks, such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, as needed.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to schedule and oversee larger maintenance projects and repairs.
• Document and track maintenance requests, work orders, and repair expenses accurately.
• Establishing 24-hour daily maintenance coverage at the community, taking calls personally where necessary.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in building maintenance processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency of the building.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in residential building maintenance or a related field is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with renters, contractors, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in performing various handyman tasks, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to maintenance and repairs is desirable.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Benefits:

• $80,000 – $100,000 plus superannuation
