The Role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team within the Mobile Maintenance Heavy Fleet department at George Fisher Mine. Reporting to the Specialist – GFM Heavy Fleet Maintenance you will work closely with leading hands, supervisors and their crew to ensure the timely delivery of parts for maintenance activities. This position will be offered on a 7on, 7 off days only roster.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for ensuring the parts required are dispatched to and received in underground workshops in-line with established KPIs
- Responsible for communicating accurate and relevant information and insight to line management on opportunities and risks relating to parts availability
- Responsible for ensuring processes are implemented and followed
- Required to adhere to safety procedures and policies
- Provide support to the Mobile Maintenance team;
- Collection and delivery of required parts
- Organisation of parts receiving areas
- Ordering of parts as requested by the maintenance team
- Following up of orders for ETA of delivery
- Receiving and organising parts in staging areas
- Maintaining of excess part registers and seek opportunities to reduce
- Responsible for promoting a positive team culture in line with Glencore values
- Responsible for the optimisation of assigned resources and continuous improvement to minimise cost and waste
- Creation of service purchase orders
- Processing & tracking add to catalogue requests
- Ordering to maintain workshop consumable levels
- General administration duties
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service
- The ability to liaise / communicate with stakeholders internally and externally.
- Good time organisational & management skills with ability to recognise and allocate priorities.
- High attention to detail and ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Previous experience with mobile underground fleet will be highly valued.
- Manual driver’s license
- Forklift ticket or be able to obtain
- SAP CMMS experience preferred
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft suite
- Previous planned parts or stores experience is desirable
