Form of workOVERVIEW:
Working in our engineering department to maintain and repair all aspects of the Hotel’s physical structure, architectural finishes, soft furnishings, plant and equipment. Undertakes minor carpentry, building work and furniture repairs.
Some of the responsibilities included but not limited to;
- Perform cleaning and tidying of all Hotel engineering related areas including plant rooms, electrical, information systems and plumbing riser shafts, storerooms and engineering workshops.
- Perform repairs and maintenance to the physical building structure including minor installation work as and when required.
- Ensure all requests for maintenance are carried out within an acceptable time frame and standard pertaining to the Hotel and as set by the Engineering management.
- Assist with repairs to guestrooms of a semi-skilled nature as well as those in accordance with your trade skills and qualifications, i.e. changing light bulbs, TV repair, AC repair, changing taps and seals, toilet repair, drain repair, grouting repair, bathroom silicon, minor paint touch-up and minor carpentry work etc.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of the above;
- Previous experience in a similar role and environment.
- Trade qualification is desirable.
- Must have the ability to bend, stoop, squat, stretch and frequently lift to fulfill tasks.
