Based in Wollongong, we are searching for a highly experienced maintenance professional to fill our vacancy of Maintenance Planner in our world leading cement milling facility at Port Kembla. This role will coordinate and plan all maintenance activities and provide technical input to ensure high plant availability within the plan budget, in a manner commensurate with Cement Australia SHEQ standards and principles.
About the role:
As a Maintenance Planner at our Port Kembla site you will:
- Provide planning and scheduling for Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance works to ensure equipment is inspected and maintained to an appropriate level
- Develop all site Maintenance Plans, including the Weekly, Fortnightly Shutdown and Annual Shutdown Plans
- Analyse the detailed shutdown plans to identify potential conflicts and deviations and propose solutions to optimise the overall shutdown schedule
- Work with stakeholders to develop work scope, delivery plans and cost forecasts to ensure safe, timely and cost effective completion of major shutdown works
- Lead planning meetings & liaise with team to identify efficient and effective scheduling requirements
- Optimise equipment maintenance strategies and maintain the maintenance system (SAP) by reviewing, analysing and improving master data
- Create work orders from notifications, determining prioritisation and adding required planning information
- Maintain SAP for maintenance activities and related inventory/spares control
- Forecast monthly and annual maintenance costs and prepare estimates for maintenance components of the budget
- Execute work within budget parameters
- Report Maintenance KPI Reporting and data Integrity (MTBF, Availability, Plan Attainment)
- Follow continuous improvement program to enhance plant reliability with review of condition monitoring reports, initiating actions and lead RCFA
- Assist in the execution of small projects
About you:
To be considered for this role, you will have trade or mechanical/electrical engineering degree qualifications and be able to demonstrate:
- Proven success in a maintenance planning role within a heavy industrial, manufacturing or mining environment.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP maintenance module.
- Background in mechanical or electrical maintenance of heavy machinery/fixed equipment.
- Results with managing site shutdowns for maintenance.
- Team player with ability to influence and negotiate both onsite and remotely.
- Initiative and Can-do attitude to helping the site operate efficiently and be ready to lend a hand when needed.
