An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, driven and motivated Maintenance Planner/Planning Officer - Major Overhauls to coordinate and complete the design and preparation of work packages to support the effective delivery of the Major Overhauls and refurbishment programs in our Major Overhauls team.
This role is based within the Murray region, in Khancoban.
As a Planning Officer, you will be responsible for:
Long term planning of major overhaul, refurbishment and repair works on hydro generating units
Ensuring all overhaul work is planned in accordance with Snowy Hydro's maintenance and project processes and systems. Specifically creating Work Orders and Standard Jobs within Snowy Hydro's CMMS.
Coordinating and preparing work packages, including determining materials, tooling/equipment and developing workpack documentation for all overhaul work.
Work with the Planning and Assurance Manager and Overhaul Scheduler to ensure the regional overhaul schedule is delivered within set timeframes and priorities.
Coordinating with internal work parties and contractors to plan and secure labour resource requirements for all overhaul work
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Trade qualified with 6+ years post trade experience or tertiary engineering qualification with relevant industry experience. A mechanical qualification will be highly regarded.
Computer skills in spreadsheets, Maintenance Systems (CMMS). Knowledge of Ellipse is an advantage.
Knowledge of maintenance and project program requirements, analysis techniques and Work Management practices
Experience in maintenance or project planning in a heavy industry environment
Project Management experience including management of cost and risk
Demonstrated ability to communicate with a range of personnel and customers
Knowledge of electronic permitting systems (ePAS) is an advantage.
Knowledge of WHS, Environmental Policies and Standards
