We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Maintenance Scheduler to join our Maintenance team at our Myrtleford Plywood Mill. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor – Ply 2 in a day shift position, your key responsibilities will include driving the efficient execution of corrective and planned maintenance activities across Ply 2.
- Implementation of the company's reliability systems to optimise plant OEE, employee safety, production volumes, maintenance effectiveness and reduce operating costs
- Creating a safe, positive and productive working environment, with a culture of workplace of respect
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities e.g. planned maintenance, shut downs, repairs, breakdowns and plant improvements for your area of responsibility
- Evaluate the urgency and importance of maintenance tasks to prioritise schedules effectively
- All administration related tasks to planning and scheduling works, including obtaining quotes and generating purchase orders
- Contractor management, including resource for planned work, breakdowns and shuts, ensuring compliance with inductions and licences
- Monitor, evaluate and report on planned shuts to stakeholders in the Production and Maintenance teams
- Capital expenditure preparation and change management processes
- Performance improvement, root cause analysis for the maintenance of plant and equipment in your area of responsibility
- Implementation of strategic maintenance work flow systems and processes
- Ensuring safe systems of work are followed for all maintenance activities
- Planning for area shuts through the TPM process with the Site Maintenance Planner
- Management for spare parts used in your area, ordering spares and planning in repairable items, minimising and managing stock levels and EOL spares
- Weekend work will be required time to time when necessary
To be considered for this role you must:
- Possess relevant experience including trade qualifications
- Knowledge of maintenance and planning systems, CMMS experience - Microsoft Business Central 365 would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to foster strong working relationships with Engineering, Quality and Production teams to ensure activities such as repairs, breakdowns, planned shuts and plant improvements are in line with production, safety and environmental priorities
- Well organised time management skill with a focus on deadlines, for yourself and others
- High level of computer skills with advanced computer literacy of Outlook, Excel, and AutoCAD is advantageous
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Be able to promote/ensure safe work practices and culture
- Strong computer literacy, experience with Microsoft programs and safety management systems will be advantageous.
