About the Role:
NES Fircroft is actively recruiting a Maintenance Scheduler to join our esteemed client, key role is to Develop an executable maintenance schedule with all resources required identified, available and scheduled loaded to within targets and ensuring work is scheduled and aligned to achieve primary call compliance
Schedule work for regular and routine maintenance (including smaller scale shutdowns) on a weekly cycle – up to 12 weeks out.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Development of site specific, maintenance schedules, that is executable while aligning to other department activities and agreements.
- Assist with initiatives and trials initiated by reliability engineering.
- Ensure Maintenance schedules reflect operational requirements and site availability targets
- Stay abreast of any risk, actions or trends that may impact plant maintenance
- Ensure budget and maintenance schedules / strategies are aligned
- Ensure the schedule is shared and any component shortages are resolved to ensure risk of component supply shortage is minimised.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Review and action work identified as ready for scheduling
- Prepare and participate in the required meetings to support the work management process with relevant stakeholders
- Review internal and external labour requirement, equipment availability and confirm material delivery, triggering expediting of parts where required
- Review planned equipment outages and production schedule for the schedule period
- Develop draft/first cut maintenance schedule (critical path, task interactions, labour requirements, materials, shared equipment and tooling) for review
- Engage and arrange external contractors / suppliers (Generalist/Top-up) and maintain availabilities in CMMS
- Confirm and lock shared equipment required for scheduled period
- Confirm schedule loss events are aligned to the planned events, updating key stakeholders and business systems (MSF) on any exceptions.
- Produce and publish a finalised executable maintenance schedule and work packs
- Review resource utilisation and schedule loading are with-in targets
- Identify critical issues – outstanding approvals, major lead time items, cores, resources, accommodation etc.
- Re-schedule uncompleted task / operation (include following rescheduling of cores process) from current maintenance week (due to no identified planning issues).
- Closeout any raised Contractor requirements including invoicing and payments in consolation with the execution team
Review the standards and processes associated with your work, identify areas for improvement and either implementing those improvements where it is within your authority or recommending the improvement to your manager
Experience:
- Experience in maintenance scheduling / planning within the mining industry, either mobile fleet / fixed plant / rail / utilities
Knowledge:
- Computer Literate with previous experience in the use of computerised maintenance management systems, including specific knowledge of SAP, MS Project, MS Word & MS Excel
- Well-developed verbal and written skills
