McLean Farms is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, 30 minutes Southwest of Toowoomba. Specialising in livestock and food production, the business is involved with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team in a full-time capacity at our Grading and Packing Facility in Felton.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on MOBA grading machine to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform routine cleaning, calibration, and lubrication of MOBA graders to maintain accuracy and consistency in egg sorting.
- Support the maintenance team in developing and implementing a preventive maintenance schedule for MOBA grading machines to minimise downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to prevent breakdowns or malfunctions.
- Respond promptly to any breakdowns or malfunctions of MOBA grading machines, diagnose issues, and execute timely repairs to minimise production disruptions.
- Support the maintenance team in ensuring that the MOBA grading machine complies with all safety standards and regulations, including machine guarding, electrical safety, and OSHA guidelines.
- Support the maintenance team in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities for the MOBA grading machines, including work performed, parts replaced, and calibration adjustments.
- Collaborate with maintenance or production teams to implement improvements and innovations.
- Participate in cleaning and sanitization activities for MOBA grading machines and surrounding areas to maintain hygiene standards and prevent contamination of graded eggs.
- Regularly inspect packing floor machinery, and infrastructure to identify maintenance needs promptly and accurately.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:
- Relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting maintenance on complex machinery.
- Strong communication skills, ability to write reports and correspondence, ability to speak clearly and effectively with internal and external contacts.
- Experience in planning, organising, prioritising, and coordinating work in a changing environment.
- Ability to use a range of computer applications.
- Previous experience with MOBA egg grading machinery advantageous but not essential.
You may be required to work reasonable overtime to meet operational demands.
