Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for a Maintenance Trade Manager to join our team.
The Role
As our Maintenance Trade Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our handyperson, painting and carpentry team. This includes managing team schedules, scoping and quoting, coordinating projects for multi trade projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality control, maintaining customer service and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of handypersons, painters and carpenters, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the scheduling, planning, and execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with other department managers to ensure smooth operation and effective project coordination.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory and procurement of materials and equipment.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
About You
- Proven experience in team or project management.
- Carpentry trade experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of best practice, materials, codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in job management software and tools.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Working with Children and Police Checks or willing to get both if you’re the successful applicant.
- White Card required.
