AddressBased in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs, GMA is a growing Grounds Maintenance company offering full-service, tailor-made solutions for landscaping, gardening, and Grounds Maintenance to our commercial, and industrial customers. We are a young, agile, and fast paced business, where no two days are the same.
We are seeking a Manager to join our dynamic and dedicated team to actively drive growth in our business whilst maintaining exceptional relationships with our current customers and managing our team of landscapers and gardeners, striving for excellent results.
About you:
- You will be able to bring your energy, agility, and responsive decision-making skills to the fore, as you will be responsible for the day-to-day decision making for the division and be able to validate your choices.
- You will have the ability to work independently to a high standard, and move quicky, to support the current client base, whilst having your eye on future exponential growth of the business. You will have support and resources to put your plans for future growth into action.
- You will have the necessary experience to price new jobs and win them whilst remaining profitable.
- You will have strong contacts in the industry and be able to capitalise on that to bring new work to the existing business quite quickly whilst developing and implementing a strategy to win more work in the medium and long term.
- As an experienced and motivating leader and mentor, you will strengthen our current team and continue to grow the team, all the time, striving for excellence.
- By mixing your passion for the horticulture, landscaping and gardening industry with your business knowledge, you will be able to see opportunities for growth and be eager to capitalise on them.
About the role:
Reporting to the directors, you will add value by:
- With full support and resources, exponentially grow and expand our Grounds Maintenance division.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the division.
- Manage and maintain excellent relationships and expectations with our current customers including site visits.
- Manage daily job operations, including the scheduling of staff, with frequent site visits to monitor job progress.
- Model high level leadership for the current Grounds Maintenance staff, and actively grow the team whilst keeping staff aware of their key responsibilities, managing performance and setting clear role expectation, and motivate the team striving for excellence.
