The Honeymoon project is located in South Australia, is fully licensed for exports of up to 3.3mlb and is run by a strong management team which has leveraged off industry experts.
About the Role
As a Management Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring precise and punctual financial reporting, budgeting, and conducting commercial analysis. You'll also contribute to implementing systems and processes aimed at fostering best practices in commercial operations and cost control, ultimately streamlining administrative tasks.
This role will be combination of FIFO 5:3 roster located at our Honeymoon Uranium Mine site and 4:2 roster based at our Adelaide CBD Office on a rotating basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in periodic budgeting and reporting.
- Provide support for commercial analysis, cost control, and streamlining administrative duties.
- Assist in month-end tasks, including accruals, reallocation, valuation, entries, review, and reporting.
- Analyse and reconcile physical inventories for stores and production.
- Identify and propose solutions for transaction errors.
- Assist in asset capitalization, verification, and disposal processes.
- Support tax and audit data collection as needed.
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller in implementing relevant financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to taxation, regulatory, and accounting standards.
About You
You will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Tertiary degree in Accounting coupled with either CPA or CA certification, or actively pursuing completion.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in management accounting.
- Previous experience in the mining or a related industry is advantageous.
- Display innate problem-solving abilities and possess strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. You should also be adept at structuring information to suit the needs and comprehension level of the intended audience.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Familiarity with Pronto and Power BI is preferred, or a readiness to acquire these skills.
