About the Farms

Over the past 15 years Vitonga Farms has been steadily rolling back irrigated cotton in favour of drip irrigated citrus for increased water efficiency and drought security. In 2022 our 280,000 citrus trees produced 13,000 tonnes of oranges, we harvested 5,000 tonnes of barley and 9,000 bales of irrigated cotton.

Our citrus is harvested 9 months of the year for juicing and goes to our vertical integrated business Grove Juice who supplies our own brands as well as the four major supermarkets and export market in South-East Asia. Our properties are an 8 min drive (9km) North-West of Moree, NSW.

We take an active position in the industry via industry-based associations, not-for-profit work, local sponsorships and talking to our mates over a few beers at the pub. Vitonga Farms has strong water & market stability, our staff have good job security and as a result we retain great knowledge as a collective unit.

The Role

Vitonga Farms offers an opportunity for a curious, enthusiastic and detailed driven individual to join our team located in Moree. You will partner with the local team to provide financial analysis and assistance with financial & management accounting reporting. This fast-paced role will see you thrive in a collaborative environment, allowing you to further develop your commerce experience, and work with the broader finance team to provide end-to-end financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and support to managers within the business.
• Analyse key financial data and provide insights to support business planning and decision making.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and analysis of results against budget and forecast.
• Ensure monthly management reports are accurately produced and issued on time.
• Lead the annual budget and monthly rolling forecast process.
• Assist with preparation and review of FBT, BAS and income tax returns.
• Assist with the provision of information to external auditors.
• Strive for continuous improvement of internal controls and streamlining of systems and processes.

The Candidate

• Team player.
• CA/CPA qualified or studying towards qualification.
• Highly motivated individual who can work without direct supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent systems skills.
