About the role
Due to continued growth we are currently looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Financial team. As the Management Accountant you will help manage the Group’s financial systems and practices, ensuring financial information is timely, accurate and compliant with relevant external body, accounting and taxation principles. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing Month end accounting including reconciliations and journals.
- Preparation of monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget.
- Variance analysis around actual results compared to the budget and forecasts for each profit and cost centre.
- Creating financial statements for internal and external company requirements.
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are accurate, timely and complete.
- Setting up financial reporting for new businesses, functions, and acquisitions in line with the McNab framework.
- Assist budget owners in the preparation of the annual operational, capital expenditure & revenue budgets consistent with long term business strategies.
- Enact regular and timely reforecasting of budgets in consultation with key stakeholders, identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management.
- Identify, implement, and monitor revenue, cost management and other strategies to achieve or exceed annual financial objectives.
- Prepare accounts and records for Annual Audit and Year End Reporting packs.
- Calculating and Reporting on QBCC obligations.
- Validating & review of ATO Compliance and lodgements.
- Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers.
About you
You will have:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, coupled with relevant experience in a similar role.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Demonstrated experience in a Financial and/or Management Accountant role.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with an ability to communicate financial data to non-financial managers.
- A proactive approach to resolving issues and excellent attention to detail.
