The roleCrown Sydney have a full-time, permanent opportunity available for a
Management Accountant to support a number of F&B departments at our Barangaroo property. Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, you'll support the F&B operational management by providing daily, weekly and monthly reports, as well as advising and implementing appropriate accounting controls to minimise financial risk. This role will also play a part in business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, whilst also maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.This role will be based in Melbourne.Some of your responsibilities will involve:
- Liaising with operational management on business performance, reporting and information needs, forecasting and
- Providing general financial assistance and advice
- Assisting in the month end reporting process for all departments within the non-gaming businesses including estimates and actuals
- Coordinating adjustments and operational feedback and queries
- Providing input into the budgeting and forecasting process
- Conducting analysis on expenditure including variance analysis, productivity ratios & margin analysis
- Assisting with the preparation of internal management reports required on a monthly basis
- Providing commercial and finance support & assistance to the senior Hotel and F&B operational management
- Supporting with statutory audit requirements ensuring relevant reports and reconciliations are prepared on time
- Assisting in the preparation of external reports as directed
You'll have:- 3+ years demonstrated technical experience (industry and professional experience in Hotels & F&B is advantageous)
- Experience in both management and financial accounting
- Project management and business planning skills and experience
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and their application
- Advanced excel experience
- Tertiary Qualifications in Finance or Accounting
- Recognition as a member of CA or CPA (or is working towards this)
- Has or is able to obtain all required Casino Employee Licenses
