AddressLifeFlight Australia is seeking a Management Accountant to join our dedicated Finance team. Reporting to the Team Leader, Management Accounting, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate, timely, and relevant reporting, analysis, and insights to drive operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and overall business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End: Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end activities, including the preparation and posting of journals, analysis of key operating revenue and costs, identification of trends, and explanation of key variances against budget/forecast.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly finance reports for senior management, ensuring compliance with internal, external, and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with Business Units to review financial performance against budget/forecast, identify risks and opportunities, and support the development of mitigating actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in the enhancement of Finance processes, systems, and ways of working.
- Budget Coordination: Support the preparation, development, and coordination of the annual budget cycle for relevant Business Units.
- Statutory Reporting: Assist the Financial Control team with annual statutory reporting requirements, including the provision of information to auditors.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide support with ad-hoc analysis for various projects, contributing your expertise to drive strategic initiatives.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with various departments on finance matters, fostering a culture of collaboration and support.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Develop effective and collaborative relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
About You:
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Business (CPA/CA qualified or working towards).
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Excellent working knowledge of accounting systems, standards, and relevant legislation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Customer service focus with an ethical and values-based approach.
- Goal-oriented, results-driven, and highly reliable with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Enthusiasm for new challenges and the ability to think outside the box.
- Willingness to accept constructive feedback and convert it into positive actions.
