The opportunity
As a key member of the finance team, based in our Subiaco office, the individual in this role is responsible for overseeing a range of financial activities and ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of financial data. The main activities encompass reporting and forecasting, commercial and process improvement, financial control, compliance, communication, and general duties. Other duties include:
- End to end involvement in the month end close process, from journal review, Flash results reporting, arriving at final numbers and writing the monthly Finance Report (tables, dashboards, commentaries)
- Work closely with key stakeholders, to prepare monthly progress claims in accordance with contract
- Work as a key stakeholder and contributor to the in the monthly Operations/Finance monthly review meetings
- Key contribution to country wide annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, with support from colleagues, in accordance with Altrad’s reporting deadlines
- Imbed the use of the new Group consolidation system into the periodic reporting of Altrad Australia’s finance function, through proficiency in report writing and the uploading of monthly deliverables
- Monthly reporting on Head of Work/Order Book in MIS (Altrad’s order book management system)
- Apply percentage of completion (POC) accounting for revenue recognition in conjunction with the Commercial Cost Control team, review actual vs budget/reforecast performance within each region.
Who do we want to hear from?
- For success in this role, we are seeking an experienced Project/ Management Accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ of experience from a mining services background
- CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Comprehensive working knowledge of general finance practices and processes
- Proven experience in uncovering and meeting customer needs with a well-developed service orientation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with people from all walks of life.
