We have an opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic, and dedicated Management Accountant to join our team. The role will provide reporting, analysis and commercial support and assist the Financial Controller APAC in providing the highest quality performance to external and internal stakeholders. You will also assist in promoting a ‘can do’ and ‘team oriented’ culture within the environment. The right candidate will find an opportunity to learn and grow within the organisation.
Main accountabilities include:
- Maintaining the integrity of the revenue and cost of sales lines for all branches including revenue protection, processing CASS/CTO invoices, cost of sales accruals and reversals
- Preparing reports for analysis e.g., job and product profitability, carrier spend, customer analysis, margin analysis.
- Assisting with forecasts and budget preparation, preparation of templates for branch managers input, completing OneStream monthly submission to head office
- Assisting with preparation of CIPs
- Assisting with month end related processing and reporting.
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis to support sales, branch managers and management team.
- Approach duties with a focus on improvement, aiming to streamline and automate where possible and assisting with improvement projects.
- Assisting with upcoming system migration
- Backup and assist other team members in times of leave or high throughput.
- Adhoc duties and assisting with other requirements where needed
- Other duties as requested by Head of Finance and VP Operations
Essentials:
- Partway through completion of CA/CPA or equivalent
- Working knowledge of end-to-end accounting functions, preferably (not essential) in an international forwarding environment.
- Ability to work with software requiring manual input and intermediate excel skills at the very least.
- Interest in technology and systems improvements within the accounting function
- Interest in the operational aspects of the organisation
