ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a full-time Management Accountant who will be responsible for coordinating reports and analysis of key financial information to Ryonex Group Directors. This role will focus on delivering feedback to aid managerial planning and commercial decision-making that will ensure future growth and profitability. Additionally, this role will ensure the accurate monitoring, analysis and reporting of capital budgeting as well as financial and operational performance. The Management Accountant will also support Directors in all month end related tasks, including weekly and monthly management reporting, inventory analysis, and month end close activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing, and assisting where required, all finance functions performed by the Finance & Admin Team (accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management).
- Streamlining the various finance functions, documenting processes and training new staff as required.
- Supporting month end functions with hands-on control of departmental Profit & Loss (P&L)’s, including accruals and journals as well as reviewing and reporting.
- Performing monthly General Ledger reconciliations, inventory reconciliations and analysis.
- Preparing and presenting monthly reports with analysis and explanations of the results for costs and other information as required.
- Providing analysis of financial performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Cash flow management including the management of the company’s bank accounts and cash budgets.
- Providing ongoing cost reduction analysis across all suppliers.
- Liaising with all internal and external stakeholders – directors, management, staff, customers, contractors and other organisations.
- Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Must have full working rights within Australia (Permanent Australian Resident or Australian Citizen).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business with an emphasis/specialisation in Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in a finance or business operations role.
- Highly organised and efficient – a self-starter who can work autonomously and part of a team while adhering to reporting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel including use of Macro’s.
- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong IT literacy.
- A proactive and ambitious approach to problem solving.
- Ability to consider strategic perspectives.
- As this role oversees critical data for a company, a candidate’s mathematical abilities and business knowledge will be integral due to the breadth of financial information that will be overseen.
- Ability to manage employees, while multi-tasking large projects.
- Reliable, committed and honest work ethics.
