CSA Mine is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join the Finance team. You will work in a team that is focused on safety, while driving to meet the plan. You will work in one of the world’s most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Providing accounting services to support the integrity and accuracy of the Finance team function in all activities at the CSA Mine site
- Ensuring site compliance with relevant IFRS and Accounting policies and procedures
- Preparation of statutory and other returns (royalty, FBT, workers compensation, payroll tax)
- Preparing, analysing and suggesting improvements to journals, allocations and costing corrections
- Timely and accurate completion of month end accounting activities
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and operating accounts on a regular basis
- Preparing budgeting and forecasting
- Provide end of month reporting (financial, capital and production) as well as other scheduled reports as required
- Regularly meet with cost centre owners to assist with understanding and controlling costs
- Identify improvements and streamline opportunities in systems, processes and controls in consultation with stakeholders to implement appropriate solutions
About you:
- Previous experience in Mine Accounting or related industry (desirable)
- Strong knowledge and use of SAP
- Computer skills including advanced Excel and modelling
- Proven time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrated ability to complete site accounting tasks with the site designated ERP and supporting reporting systems (SAP, HFM)
Conditions:
This position is offered on a residential, drive-in drive-out (DIDO) or fly-in fly-out (FIFO) basis from either Sydney, New South Wales or Brisbane, Queensland. If residential is the preferred commute option 12 weeks of transit accommodation, relocation costs and a housing subsidy will be provided to the successful candidate to assist in relocating to Cobar. Candidates interested in the DIDO or FIFO will be provided with commute single accommodation and meals at the mine camp. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.
