AddressZIMMERMANN has a newly created career opportunity for a focused Management Accountantto join our Finance Team at our Head Office in Rosebery, NSW.
About the role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager (US & China), the Management Accountant will provide support for Zimmermann's US and China operations by assisting in the management of the Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Month-End Close, Balance Sheet Management & Bank Reconciliations - Deliver timely and accurate month-end close for assigned accounts. Partner with stakeholders to communicate results and update forecasts. Analyze monthly P&Ls, providing insights on variances to budget/forecast. Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts with accuracy.
- Indirect Taxes - Assist with the preparation of indirect tax calculations and returns across allocated geographies, including but not limited to US Sales Tax.
- Inventory - Oversee inventory financial management in accordance with company guidelines. Review Bill of Materials and identify cost anomalies on an ongoing basis.
- Budget & Year-End Audit - Provide support during the year-end audit and budget process as required
What you will bring to the role:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Analytical background and strong attention to detail to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Enthusiasm and ability to grasp new concepts.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, to streamline processes.
- CA/CPA qualified/ semi-qualified accountant is preferred.
- Prior experience with AP21 is desired but not essential.
