We Care NSW is a provider of specialist Aboriginal youth and disability services. We are a growing Not for Profit organisation that prides itself on offering quality support services to those living with a disability. Our service delivery covers children, young people and adults in the Maitland, Newcastle, Hunter and Tweed/Ballina regions with current expansion to Taree and Broken Hill.

About the role 

In this role you will be responsible for managing and leading the provision of Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) services for We Care NSW across the state. This includes managing service delivery ensuring all contractual, legislative and regulatory requirements are met across all accommodation programs.

You will also be responsible for the operational aspects of the service including all aspects of staff management, supervision and training; quality; people and safety management; financial management and achieving KPI’s,

Your previous experience as a manager and your genuine commitment to supporting children and young people will serve you well in this role.

As this role is responsible for programs located across NSW you will be required to travel and work from a range of locations. 

Salary negotiable for the right candidate, subject to qualifications and experience.

Annual Salary range $82,043.52 to $93,860.00 + superannuation and experience

Skills and Experience 

  • Diploma or Degree qualification in social work, psychology, social sciences, community services, education, health, early childhood, or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing teams in OOHC, NDIS or similar environment and managing residential programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of relevant legislation pertaining to children’s services and the Office of the Children’s Guardian Standards for Permanent Care.
  • Demonstrated applied knowledge of the Permanency Support Program, its aims and principles
  • Experience in developing and managing a staff roster, across multiple programs, within a therapeutic care framework
  • Knowledge of person centred principles, positive behaviour support and trauma informed care
  • Well-developed knowledge in OOHC critical incident management 
  • Highly developed verbal communication, interpersonal and influencing skills 
  • Well-developed time management, organising and task coordination skills
