Manager, Business Services

We are seeking an experienced and driven Financial Manager with a passion for leading people and achieving outstanding results. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial excellence in statutory compliance as well as operational and management accounting.
  
The primary purpose of this position is to support the strategic objectives of the organisation, particularly as they relate to financial management by assisting in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to statutory reporting, compliance, budgeting, and payroll.
  
Core responsibilities include the following:

• Develop and mentor the finance team
• Support the Finance Director in the preparation and management of the budget process including liaison with business units/department heads and other stakeholders as well as the ongoing review of operating performance to budget
• Development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting and financial reporting systems
• Coordinate preparation of external audit and external financial reporting
• Manage and direct internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements
• Review and approval of payroll

Leading a team of eight, you will have exceptional people management skills, able to support and develop a dedicated team of professionals, maintaining the exceptional culture which exists. Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management will support your success in this autonomous and busy role.
  
With strong technical accounting skills, you will be CA/CPA qualified, with experience in education, not for profit or health highly regarded. Prior experience in mid-tier or Big 4 public practice audit as well as commercial experience well received.
