About the Early Childhood Outcomes Division
The Early Childhood Outcomes (ECO) Division leads the delivery of early childhood education and care (ECEC) initiatives, overseeing comprehensive investments in child development and in early education and care, making investments that support families and the community now, as well as investing in long term reforms for the future.
The NSW Childcare and Economic Opportunities Fund (the Fund) is designed to provide supply-side interventions into the Early Childhood Education and Care Sector to reduce the barriers to workforce participation by improving the affordability and accessibility of quality early childhood education and care.
About the Role
The Manager leads critical policy, project and other general management functions to support the Fund. These include the design and development of complex policy initiatives and reforms that support organisational objectives and Government commitments as well as the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of a portfolio of related strategic projects and initiatives.
About you
- Passionate about evidence-based policy and improving the impact of government initiatives?
- Keen to use your critical thinking and Economic analysis skills to inform operations and investment decisions?
- Apply your experience in developing best practice government policy and processes to underpin the development, design and implementation of programs for better outcomes.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Developing frameworks and guidelines to support best practice functions and processes for effective delivery of Fund objectives
- Leading communications and collaboration, working with program teams, to identify opportunities to improve practice and increase the impact of programs
- Developing high quality analysis to support the development of efficient delivery models, financial assistance products, and material to support Fund Board investment decisions
- Monitoring Fund and program performance for reporting and compliance with relevant legislation.

Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
- A valid Working With Children Check.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.
