As an Energy Analyst with Energy Bay Developments you will
- Be responsible for the ongoing management and operation of Energy Network Assets and integrated Distributed energy Resources to maximize performance and profitability.
- Performance monitoring and management of operational Energy Network Assets and deployed Distributed Energy Resources.
- Tracking of Asset performance against energy models and operational milestones.
- Analysis of Asset energy profiles across procurement, on site generation, on site distribution and consumption, demand, and export through the entire Energy Network Asset lifecycle from Development to Operations.
- Energy Network modelling at an asset, network, and tenancy level.
- Validation and improvement of energy models based on real Asset performance monitored over 12 months+ of Operation.
- Adequate design and modelling of Energy Networks through an Assets Screening and Development phase.
- Asset value increase and reduction of operating costs, through electrical infrastructure upgrades and technology deployment behind the meter.
- Energy Network revenue optimisation through in front of the meter market methodologies.
- Analysis of on-market energy distribution across Embedded Network gate meters, on-market consumers inside the network, and integrated Distributed Energy Resources.
- Embedded Network gate meter tendering, contract management, and invoice validation.
- Collaborate with internal and external Asset- and Account Management teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, including implementing energy efficiency initiatives, and sustainable practices.
- Assistance of Account Managers in understanding the financial levers that drive their costs and help plan management of these levers to increase Asset revenue and value
You will be successful in the role if you:
- are able to effectively manage the performance and profitability of Energy Bay's national energy network Asset portfolio, including the integrated Distributed Energy Resources behind the meter, and market opportunities in front of the meter.
- have well-developed conceptual, analytical, problem solving, and planning skills
- have knowledge of energy market dynamics, preferably relevant to Embedded Network management and operation.
- have knowledge of electrical supply infrastructure design and Distributed Energy Resources.
- have experience in Asset Management and utility data services preferred.
- are familiar with Australian energy market standards, national regulatory guidelines, and supply authority requirements.
- have had exposure to in front of the meter market methodologies such as demand management, demand response, or Frequency Control Ancillary Services.
- have a continuous improvement mindset and solution-oriented approach to problem solving
- provide accurate and timely information and guidance to the business through the analysis of operational and financial data.
- provide commentary and guidance on technical improvement opportunities through the analysis of technical and operational data.
- provide commentary and guidance on commercial improvement opportunities through the analysis of financial data.
- are able to identify opportunities for reduced operational costs, increase of Asset value and revenue, and enhanced system efficiencies of Energy Network Asset across EB’s portfolio
