Job description

About the role

At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive. We’re making this happen by improving our customers’ financial wellbeing so they can achieve incredible things – be it buying their home, building a business or saving for things big or small.

The shift to a focus on corporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance is fundamental and permanent. To help meet the ESG expectations of our investors, customers and external stakeholders, and support our strategy and purpose, we have a purpose-built function. ESG Disclosure & Reporting is one of the pillars of this function, alongside Governance, Analytics & Advisory, and Social Impact & Community.

The Manager, Climate Disclosures & Reporting role will support delivery of the Group’s Climate-related disclosures and reporting to communicate our performance and effective management of our climate-related risks and opportunities. The work undertaken in this role takes place against the background of increasingly high levels of social, government, investor and customer scrutiny of the bank’s climate-related disclosures and forthcoming mandatory Climate Disclosures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting delivery of the Group's Climate-related disclosures

  • Ensuring our climate-related reporting is relevant to stakeholder expectations and meets key external reporting standards, frameworks and practices

  • Supporting external assurance of climate-related disclosures

  • Supporting engagement with ESG indices and ratings focused on climate change, including S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (DJSI) and CDP

  • Conducting regular and ongoing benchmarking of Climate-related reporting and disclosure of peers/other corporates

  • Ensuring climate-related content on anz.com is updated as required

Role location: Melbourne

Role type: Permanent, full time

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Experience contributing to Climate-related reporting and submissions for an ASX-listed organisation.

  • Strong analytical, writing and communications skills, including the ability to understand and simplify complex matters

  • Strong relationship and networking skills to engage internal stakeholders on Climate-related responses

  • Understanding of relevant climate-related reporting standards and frameworks

So, why join us?

There’s something special about being part of ANZ. From the moment you join us, you’re part of a team working towards a common goal: improving the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

But it’s not just our customers who’ll feel your impact. You’ll feel it too. Because at ANZ, you’ll have the resources and community you need to take the next big step in your career, towards even bigger things in the future.

We offer a range of benefits tailored to the countries in which we operate including Health and Wellbeing programs and flexible working arrangements.

You’ll also enjoy working in a diverse and inclusive workplace where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated. We encourage you to talk to us about any adjustments you may require to our recruitment process or the role itself. If you are a candidate with a disability, let us know how we can provide you with additional support.
