About the team
The People Communications and Engagement branch connects, inspires and empowers the people of Transport to deliver on our strategic objectives and bring our cultural aspirations to life. Our team create and deliver strategy and plans that connect meaningful engagement activity to business outcomes, impactful and creative content and innovative campaigns. We tell Transport's story, drive positive change and are helping to build culture that puts customer at the centre, people at the heart and delivers outcomes for the greater good.
The Opportunity
We have multiple opportunities for Communications & Engagement professionals to join our team supporting our Cities and Active Transport (CAT) division of Transport for NSW.
Cities and Active Transport (CAT) brings together placemaking, parks and active transport specialists from Transport and the Department of Planning and Environment.
With more than 600 staff, Cities and Active Transport works to strengthen and sustain the connection between people and public spaces through better integration of cities, neighbourhoods and transport.

In your new roles, you will develop, deliver and advise on high value future-focused communication and engagement strategies for key programs and projects to support and drive optimal outcomes for our partners, stakeholders and customers.
Working with SMEs in the business to understand their business objectives and needs to enable you to create and deliver meaningful communication and engagement strategies that support our people and influence positive behavioural change in line with strategic business objectives

About You
We are looking for highly collaborative Communications and Engagement professionals with a proven track record in delivering successful internal and/or external communications that positively engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.
You build relationships easily, and your ability to influence stakeholders and navigate competing deadlines and priorities is unquestioned. You maintain a high standard of work, and having previously worked in a similar environment, you are aware of the political sensitivities and confidentiality in what you do.
You are a team player with a can-do attitude, excellent communication skills and solid experience operating in a complex customer centric fast paced environment.
Along with being tertiary qualified in communications, public relations, marketing (or relevant discipline) you will be self-motivated and decisive - able to work autonomously and under direction. Salary & Benefits
The salary for these positions are Grade 9A ($138,670) - 9E ($155,309) or Grade 8 ($123,740 - $138,284) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
