How will I help?
This role is responsible for assisting to manage the compliance assessment and breach reporting process across Westpac.
Work collaboratively and in support of the Executive Manager, Compliance Incidents within the Enterprise Compliance, Compliance Incidents team to:
- Undertake compliance assessments and make breach determinations against a wide cross section of matters impacting a range of potentially reportable areas of obligation.
- Monitor compliance assessments (including timeliness), including the status of compliance assessments, investigation reports and breach reports.
- Assist in the triage process to ensure that Compliance Incidents are allocated and assessed by the relevant teams across Westpac.
- Assist in the provision of insights/oversight to the Divisional Compliance teams and relevant business units.
- Escalate material matters/breaches to the CCO, Enterprise Compliance and Regulatory Disclosure Forum as required.
- Assist the Executive Manager with team operational activities and coaching and mentoring of Managers as required.

What do I need?
To be successful in the role the successful candidate will have:
- 7+ years' experience in financial services
- Prior senior manager level experience in Compliance, Operational/Enterprise Risk, Assurance or Legal
- Excellent analytic skills with the ability to identify underlying trends and themes.
- Expertise in managing compliance risks in a large financial services business or digital business and knowledge of relevant underlying obligations.
- Good judgment
- Demonstrated experience in developing strong stakeholder relationships and the ability to work with stakeholders in investigating compliance impacts and root causes.
- Strong expertise in the use of Excel
