The Manager, Customer Software Product Delivery oversees the product planning and delivery processes for a specific Product Delivery Stream, which consists of squads delivering software products to distinct customer groups. This cross-functional role involves managing the entire lifecycle of software products within their stream, from conception to obsolescence. The primary focus is on defining and delivering products aligned with the Customer Software product roadmap, while also monitoring and improving existing products to ensure compatibility with environmental changes.
Collaboration is a key accountability, involving close work with Global Marketing, Systems, Embedded SW, IT, Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality teams. The role extends to standardizing Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, managing Delivery Managers and Product Owners, and driving consistency in Product Delivery, ownership, and monitoring processes. The Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging technical and business realms, forming partnerships, and holding primary accountability for relationships and interfaces with various teams.
This role will have direct reports and will be expected to coach team members for growth provide feedback on individual and team performance.
Accountabilities
- Execute delivery of the product and services plan (PSP) for software
- Contribute to the definition of the product and services plan (PSP) and Vision for CS
- Own CS product definition and monitoring; influence the technology plan for CS
- Form strategic partnerships across groups within the organisation
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience.
- 5-10 years of relevant software experience including project management, product owner, architecture and software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of software-specific agile project management methodologies and development practices
- Strong knowledge of medical device regulations as they pertain to software.
- Ability to understand and discuss technical issues at both a high and low level.
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams to make decisions.
- Experience in coaching and leading a team.
- Excellent influencing and leadership skills.
