Access theThe role of Manager (Delivery) is exciting and dynamic. You will be leading and managing a team of engineering and technical professionals to deliver a program of high-profile road infrastructure projects within the Far North District.
As a member of the District Leadership Team, you will drive a culture of performance, accountability and consistent program delivery whilst supporting the achievement of strategic outcomes. You will also collaborate with professional and technical staff from across the state to ensure successful delivery of the program within time, quality, cost and stakeholder expectations.
You will be based in Cairns however the role oversees a program of works stretching from the Torres Strait Islands in the north to the top of the Cardwell Range in the south, and from Cairns in the east to Croydon in the west. Some travel to these locations may be required as well as occasional travel to Brisbane.
The purpose of the Manager (Delivery) is to provide strong and effective leadership to deliver the Far North District's Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP).Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic leadership and directs Program Managers and Project Managers across a portfolio of the district's transport infrastructure projects in the development, implementation and finalisation phases in a relational manner and to customer expectations.
- Providing professional, project management, program management, engineering, contract administration and construction expertise necessary for complex issue resolution and to enable value-for-money and effective project delivery of the district's transport infrastructure projects.
- Ensuring appropriate technical governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards and procedures.
- Providing effective leadership, guidance and management of staff and resources to enable the development of a highly motivated, skilled and high performing team.
- Being a member of the District Leadership Team and provide input, support and leadership into District wide business planning, projects and initiatives.
- A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position.
- Current holder of Class C driver's license.
- Criminal history screening will be conducted for the recommended person for this role.
- Must be eligible to work in Australia.
