The Portfolio and the Team:
The Learning Design and Innovation unit is responsible for developing strategic directions in digital solutions, cross-sector learning design, the use of educational technologies, and physical learning environments at VU.
About the Opportunity:
The Manager Digital Learning Solutions is a newly created role and is responsible for leading the creative direction of Digital Learning Solutions within the University. They play a crucial role in making Digital Learning experiences engaging, visually appealing, and effective in achieving modern educational objectives. They blend creativity with educational expertise to transform traditional learning content into immersive and interactive Digital Learning experiences that capture learners' interest and promote meaningful learning outcomes.
About the Role:
The Manager Digital Learning Solution will:
- Lead the development and implementation of creative strategies and concepts for Digital Learning within the University's LMS.
- Create the design standards and guidelines for the design and development of Digital Learning products within the University's LMS.
- Lead the design and development of new and emerging Digital Learning Solutions that meet the expectations of the modern learner.
About You:
You are skilled in instructional design techniques, especially Digital Learning ie. eLearning, video content, and microlearning. You have previous experience in leading the lifecycle of the design, development, and implementation of digital content and learning assets within an LMS or other platforms. You are passionate about improving the learner experience and keeping up to date with new and improved authoring tools and emerging technologies. You have highly developed internal consulting and project management skills that enables you to interpret the client brief to deliver outstanding Digital Learning Solutions within a specific timeframe.
