We are seeking a Manager who leads a specialist support and design team as part of the Education: Strategy, Policy and Innovation function area of BCE. You will provide high level, specialist advice which enables the development of expert communities of knowledge, practice and formation in support of schools and the Brisbane Catholic Education Office that leads to innovation and creates a better future for all students.
About the role:
- Identify, plan and execute research, innovation and impact needs analysis to respond to evolving student and school needs.
- Deliver a research-driven roadmap that identifies propositions for BCE to explore for the future.
- Use data sets to inform, influence and determine strategic priorities and direction that inspires and stimulates positive change in leadership, learning and wellbeing for all students.
- Conduct desktop research to inform insights and develop strategic recommendations.
- Use input from emerging technologies, global trends to identify new directions for schooling.
- Undertake analysis, interpretation, and insight from data to support strategic decisions.
- Deliver recommendations, reports, and presentations for senior internal stakeholders.
- Build strategic partnerships with communities and stakeholders.
- Develop polices and procedures with a holistic approach to learning, engagement, wellbeing and faith.
About you: To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
- Demonstrated experience in implementing policy and strategic directions to improve student learning and wellbeing.
- Demonstrated knowledge and effective application of contemporary evidence-based practices in education.
- Ability to form productive partnerships and constructive relationships with senior BCEO staff across function areas, school leaders and teachers to facilitate effective use of research in the organisation.
- Ability to use problem-solving frameworks to identify and assess strategic issues and opportunities through evidence-based data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to manage and interrogate large data sets to uncover key insights.
- Ability to prepare high-quality quantitative and qualitative reports, briefing papers, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences and Senior Executives that clearly articulate insights and recommendations.
- Understanding of action research and project methodologies, processes, and procedures
