About the Business - Finance and Procurement
The Finance and Procurement team provides high quality financial and procurement services to Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) business units and attached offices.
Our Finance team provides services including corporate reporting, management accounting and strategic Financial Management. Our Procurement team provides procurement and contracting advice and support to DPC staff at all stages during the procurement and contract management lifecycle.

The Manager Financial Management is responsible for the leadership and direction of the Financial Management function of the department, which includes the maintenance of an effective and efficient internal control environment for the department through the administration of financial systems and processes. The Manager Financial Management oversees the operation of Basware NG, ANZ Expense Manager and government purchase cards, QBT Travel Management System and the department's Relationship Authorisation Manager portal. This role undertakes critical end of financial year activities and prepares information included in the annual financial statements, which includes the review of the annual financial statements prepared by Shared Services SA (SSSA) for the department and its customers. The Manager Financial Management manages the SSSA service level agreements including performance, liaises with internal and external audit and undertakes key activities during machinery of government transitions. This role leads a team of three and provides expert advice to the Director, Finance and Procurement and the department.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.
A degree qualification in commerce, accounting, finance or economics majoring in accounting.
