About the role
Permanent full-time opportunity in our Financial Control and Treasury team, location negotiable within NSW (subject to campus availability) occasional travel required to Sydney as per business requirements.
The Manager Financial Reporting and Control is responsible for all applicable statutory and regulatory Financial Reporting, leading projects and managing the Financial Reporting team with 4 direct reports (including finance stream projects with internal and external stakeholders such as tax, legal, and treasury). Preparing position papers and implementation guidance on changes to accounting standards and their impact on the TAFE NSW operations, managing the external audit process, and contributing to maintaining a strong internal control environment.
About You
You are a finance professional with a passion for leading dynamic teams and navigating the intricacies of Financial Reporting in a government setting. You are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders effectively.
You have in-depth knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and government regulations, with a proven track record in Financial Reporting and Control, you thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment with strong leadership skills.
To be considered for this position you must have relevant professional accreditation or certification, such as membership to the Certified Practicing Accountants Australia or the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.
