Community Enterprise Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing essential goods and services to communities in the Torres Strait, Northern Peninsula Area (NPA) and remote Aboriginal communities.
They are responsible for the operation of multiple retail stores throughout these remote areas, providing access to quality fresh food, groceries and essential services like fuel, gas and ATM facilities.
About the Role
Elite Executive are proud to partner with CEQ to recruit this management role for their Finance Team. As the Manager Financial Services, you will be responsible for providing high-level strategic advice, analysis, and support to the Executive team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the delivery of Financial Services within a transforming organisation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate monthly and annual financial statements, including analysis and board reports.
- Coordinate the year-end process and the production of the annual budget and quarterly budget reviews.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are a must, as you will be responsible for motivating and guiding a diverse team.
- Manage resources within the finance team to meet external audit requirements.
- Provide updates to the Executive team on audit and business risks.
- Lead and manage project-based teams for business improvement projects.
- Work with internal and external auditors to address control issues.
Skills and Experience required
- A proven track record in Financial Services with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Bachelor of Commerce or Business Degree.
- Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or other post-graduate financial degree.
- Proven experience in leading, mentoring and managing a dynamic team.
- A Postgraduate qualification in Information Systems would be desirable.
