- Clerk Grade 11/12 - Base Salary: $139,787 - $161,663 plus employers' contribution to superannuation
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within Planning, Housing & Infrastructure. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster to reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses, and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.
About the role
The Manager Greater Sydney plays a pivotal role as a key contact for the Authority in the region. This position is responsible for facilitating community access to the Authority's services and initiatives while ensuring local knowledge and advice about disaster conditions and risks, as well as community perspectives and priorities, are incorporated into the Authority's work. Key accountabilities include building and managing local stakeholder relationships, delivering Authority programs at the local level, collaborating with internal and external partners, and leading disaster recovery and mitigation projects.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to adapt and manage competing priorities from various stakeholders effectively. Your proven knowledge of current agency programs, policies, and developments is crucial, along with the capacity to stay informed about a broad spectrum of government strategies and announcements. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and motivating a high-performing team to achieve the Authority's objectives.
Given the nature of our work supporting natural disasters, you should be prepared to travel within NSW and undertake operational duties during emergencies and events.
