Your Role
You will partner with the Victorian and New South Wales Hospitals and Services in matters relating to Industrial Relations and Human Resource management issues, including the facilitation of negotiation and implementation of Enterprise Agreements as well as acting as representative at relevant Industrial tribunals and union discussions.
Connecting with key stakeholders to achieve SJGHC’s strategic objectives including culture, wellbeing & psycho-social, talent and succession is a key focus of this role. This includes, leading and executing workforce planning and change management initiatives to support the achievement of local, regional and national operational and strategic priorities.
The Position
Facilitate the negotiation process for Enterprise Agreements up to and including lodgment with Fair Work Commission, liaising between internal stakeholders and unions.
Provide interpretation and advice on changes to legislation, Industrial Agreements and employment contracts to key stakeholders.
Provide analysis and interpretation of policies, awards, agreements and statutes to key stakeholders and managers.
Keep abreast of relevant ER/IR issues as they affect SJGHC and the industry generally.
Lead the consultation and provision of professional advice relating to key stakeholders on matters relating to Industrial Relations and workplace legislation, human resource/employee and Industrial Relations policies, procedures & legislation, award/agreement interpretation, EEO legislation, bullying and harassment and terminations and redundancy.
Lead the HR Business Partner in developing and translating plans and strategies into action to deliver desired outcomes in developing culture, caregiver capability and an engaged and productive workforce
Lead a service in assisting with complex matters and preparation of relevant documents relating to performance matters.
It is essential you possess a tertiary level qualification in Industrial Relations or Human Resources, and/or significant experience in a similar role, along with exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills to manage workplace issues. A current driver's licence is required as regular travel is necessary.
To succeed, you will have a sound knowledge and understanding of industrial Award/Agreements, relevant legislation and contemporary ER/IR practice and the ability to coach and support managers in the development of their people management skills to improve motivation and performance within their teams.
You will be be capable of both working autonomously and in collaboration with key stakeholders, with the confidence to be able to support and facilitate outcomes on a wide range of HR objectives, including improving caregiver engagement and capability to develop a high-performance culture.
