Upper Lachlan Shire Council is calling for an exceptional Manager of Planning and Regulatory Services to join our collaborative team in the heart of the Southern Tablelands, NSW.

Your Role

As an integral part of this thriving environment, you'll lead our Planning and Regulatory department from Crookwell, contributing to our commitment to enhancing the community's well-being.

With a passion for empowering others, you will manage and lead the operations of our Planning department under the guidance of the Director of Environment and Planning. Your knack for motivation and contemporary local government expertise will ensure our operational plan and delivery program objectives are met with finesse as you:

• Assist in the Management of the Building, Planning, Environmental Health and Regulatory functions of Council
• Manage building and development applications within the Upper Lachlan LGA.
• Administer the service area in full compliance with relevant Acts, Regulations and Council policies
• Prepare and manage department budget to meet project, operational and strategic financial obligations and targets
• Translate the principal activities of the Delivery Program and Operational Plan into plans, programs and projects to achieve identified key performance indicators (KPIs)

What's needed

Crucial to your success will be your extensive experience in Building Surveying, Planning, Regulatory Control, or similar roles. Paired with your proven experience in managing teams, and ability to foster a collaborative working environment that delivers results will be what sets you apart from your peers. Additionally, if you bring prior expertise in project management and execution, along with an innate strategic acumen, we eagerly await your application.
