Due to our significant growth, we have created an opportunity to transform our Operations team structure into a new Directorate and the has developed some new and exciting roles. The Manager of Operations role will now focus on providing leadership and management to our Parks and Civils teams. Reporting to the newly created Executive Manager Operations role and working closely with a group of highly professional and talented people, this is a vital role to ensure the ongoing maintenance of the communities' outdoor spaces as well as being part of some exciting new, high-profile projects.
The Shire is committed to the long-term happiness of our team and offer a base salary of around $150,000, plus superannuation and Shire-maintained vehicle or vehicle allowance.

What's in it for us?
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate significant experience in operations management ideally in a Local Government setting with a specific focus on parks maintenance and construction fields including roads and drainage. Extensive knowledge in the development of policies guidelines, service levels and standards with regards to parks and gardens and civil maintenance. Your people management skills will be strong as well as your negotiating skills and communication skills with previous experience in successfully leading a multidisciplinary team. You will have a strong customer focus for both internal and external stakeholders and be able to create positive change for the operations team.
