We are looking for a motivated and professional Proposal Manager to join our APAC Pre Sales Organisation. You will join a team focussed the delivery of exceptional solutions and services to meet our customer needs and continue to position Hexaon as a global leader in sensor, software and autonomous solutions. With active customers spread across Japan, South Korea, South East Asia and Australia New Zealnd in the EPC, Owner Operator and Enterprise Asset Management segments, this is a crucial role within the Pre-Sales Organisation.
Position Summary/Purpose:
As part of the APAC Proposal Management team, this position is a vital role for an experienced proposal professional to bring their skills, knowledge and expertise to Hexagon and drive work-winning Bids, Tenders, Proposals and Statements of Work (SOW) that help drive revenue growth for complex proposals for the APAC region. Critical to success in this role is the ability to understand the problem statement so as to identify keys tasks and customer desired outcomes required from an initial RFX support request on GoSell to enable you to connect with the respective Technical Leads, Presales Managers, PMO, Finance and Legal teams to collaboratively priorities costs estimates, scope assumptions and departures, capture key techno-commercial issues in the SOW to generate that not only addresses the customers needs but ensures that the services proposed are meeting the expectations of the customer.
Focusing on the delivery of legally binding proposals, the role of the Proposal Manager is also to ensure that risk mitigation through the Hexagon governance and approvals required to approve, release is received prior to submitting to the customer. The role will require high coordination between Professional Services (project managers, technical leads, QA/QC, resource managers) Presales (solution consultants, industry consultants, product centre) Opportunity lead, Finance and Legal.
Responsibilities:
- Manages end-to end delivery of complex proposals such as but not limited to ITB/ITQ/RFP/RFQ/ Statements of Work (SOWs) as per the established outcome, scope and timeline requested.
- Development and Delivering proposals along with Requests for Information (RFI) / Expressions of Interests (EOI)/ Invitation to Bid (ITB) / Requests for Quotation (RFQ) acting as an editor and a writer with input from the respective subject matter expert.
- Development and Delivering SOWs, and technical proposals for EAM (Training, Staff Augmentation, Simple EAM enhancements) wth input from presales, services and sales
- Participate in internal & customer project kickoff meetings to review RFX objectives, and deliverables and verify customer requirements and timelines.
- Schedule regular status updates on the SOW completion progress
- Managing GoSell RFX Support Requests that come from sales and services
- Prioritizing and dispersing requests to appropriate resources for input
- Identify and request proposal resources based on the agreed submission schedule
- Manage any scope changes during SOW development and validate with customers that the deliverables, activities, risks and issues are captured in the SOW
- Formatting, editing and proofreading of SOW templates that have been pre-approved internally prior to submission to the customer
- Ensures that proposal governance requirements are met and documented
Qualifications and Experience Required
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience of working in a PMO environment or experience in a deal desk, proposal management function
- Experience from an industry in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) with working knowledge of Asset Performance Management (APM), Predictive Asset Analytics, Asset Reliability
- Typically Educated to Bachelor’s Degree level, Business Communications, Project Management, Marketing, Computer Technology or a similar field are preferred. Candidates with relevant Industry experience and an equivalent level of technical qualification will also be considered equally.
- Good understanding of project management principles and standards
- Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills, leading and facilitating team and client meetings as necessary
- Experience in the use of a document library and/or proposal automation tools is an advantage
- Basic understanding of the financial component of business proposals, including calculation of margin, project estimates, pricing models, payment milestones, finance risks etc.
- Basic Contract Management knowledge including appreciation of legal risks from different commercial models in the tender
